Frequently Asked Questions
-
Please wear clothes and shoes that you can move in. Shoes that have a sole that can glide and slide across the floor work best. Please do not wear any shoes with metal in them.
-
We recommend 15 minutes early for your first lesson so you have time to complete the waiver, use the bathroom, change your shoes, and get ready for an unforgettable lesson! Most of our students arrive 5-10 minutes before their normally scheduled private or group lesson or earlier if they need to change. There are couches and comfortable places to sit.
-
This depends on you and your goals. Many students find a mix of group and private classes to be just right for them. Talk with your instructor to find the best schedule for you.
-
No partner is needed to start dancing! During our group classes, you will have the opportunity to rotate partners or stay with your regular dance partner. During private lessons, you can dance with one of our male or female instructors.

-
Yes! Students and teachers at our studio participate in local showcases and competitions throughout the year. Speak with your instructor if you would like more information.
-
Many times, men will lead and ladies will follow. We are an inclusive environment and are open to people learning one or two roles. One of our female students will be competing in the Gay Games 2026 in Spain and leading another female dancer at an international competition. She even switch dances (changes roles mid dance). There are many opportunities for students looking for this extra challenge.
-
Please check our calendar for times for group classes. Our private lessons are all 45 minutes each and run on the hour on weekdays starting at 12:00pm. Book early to reserve your preferred time.
-
To prepare your body for an evening and a lifetime of dance, we are offering several fitness classes to help you stretch. Classes may include yoga, pilates, stretching, and more. These are intentionally designed to improve your mind-body connection.
-
Of course! We can create your dream choreography and help you during practice sessions, whether it is for your wedding dance, a parent-child dance, a quinceanera, or even a show dance for a ballroom competition or performance. Let us know if you have a particular song or dance style in mind.
-
Absolutely! We can help you design the dance of your dreams for the couple, a parent-child, or the wedding party. We can also help wedding guests improve their dance skills before they hit the dance floor.
